CLAWS: The Workshop

CLAWS is an 8-week expressive arts, psychoeducation, and practice-based workshop for Black women ready to practice clear, assertive, and self-honoring communication.

We will explore:

  • How trauma and socialization shape the way you speak or stay silent

  • What assertive communication actually looks like in real time

  • How to regulate your nervous system when you want to say something hard

  • What happens when you stop apologizing for having needs, opinions, and expectations

If you’ve ever walked away from a conversation unsure if you said what you meant or said it in a way that honored who you are, CLAWS was built for you.

What You’ll Get

  • Weekly 75-minute sessions (live, virtual)

  • A downloadable CLAWS workbook with prompts, reflections, and expressive arts activities

  • Trauma-informed guidance from a licensed therapist (hi, I’m Tiera)

  • Somatic and creative tools for emotional regulation and self-expression

  • A non-performative, supportive group experience with other Black women doing the work

Who It’s For

This is for Black women who are:

  • Tired of shrinking or overexplaining

  • Working on using their voice without spiraling

  • Ready to stop avoiding hard conversations

  • Looking for a culturally relevant space to practice direct, powerful, embodied communication

No fake “just speak your truth” talk here. We take this seriously and make space for the real reasons it’s hard.
